Professional pond refurbishment service

There are many times when a pond needs more than just cleaning out to revive it. Sometimes a pond has reached a point when structural refurbishment work is needed in order to restore it to its former glory. Women with Waders incorporates a team of construction specialists who carry out any reconstructive, restoration or refurbishment work that may be required. Far more than simply general builders, they have many years of specific experience and expertise in the construction and refurbishment of aquatic environments.

Our pond refurbishment service offers a level of care and professionalism that is on a parallel with our cleaning service, taking care not to cause any damage to the rest of your garden while we work. We can give your pond new life through reconstructive refurbishment work, which can also include a redesign.

Pricing for pond refurbishment

Each pond is unique in design, size and stocking levels. It is therefore necessary to visit your premises to discuss your requirements and carry out a site survey before an accurate quote for pond construction can be given.

The survey is free of charge within a 25 mile radius of our premises in Langley, Hertfordshire. A charge will be made to visit outside this area, however, this amount will be deducted from the final bill if the quote is accepted. Please contact us for further information, without any obligation. We’re always happy to offer advice.

Call Women with Waders for pond refurbishment in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, North London, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire area.

Slough

Mr S from Farnham Common near Slough contacted us to quote for refurbishing his pond and patio. A visit was made and a quote submitted.

Mr S contacted two other pond companies to also quote for the work. When he received them both quotes were nearly twice as much as our price. John, our construction head visited again to ensure we were quoting like for like; he confirmed our original quote was accurate. Our price was accepted and work began.

The client and his family were delighted with the end result.

Welwyn

When Mr Borrie from Welwyn contacted us, he wanted his large pond refurbished. A good friend from Knebworth had recommended us.

An initial visit was made in June to discuss the pond and the resident goose and ducks. The pond was their home and they must be accommodated in the refurbishment. A quote was given and after a survey by the construction team work began in August when the weather was lovely and the sun shone every day. The first job was to empty the pond so the wild fowl had to be temporarily housed in another enclosure. It was a tough job as we found there were 7 layers of pond liner along with artificial turf as the top layer. To make provision for the ducks to get in and out of the pond a rock edge was constructed and then a paved area in front of that. This was to give added protection to the liner and stop the ducks wearing away the banks. A waterfall was constructed using some of the original stone, a large fountain installed with lights and a filtration system. Here is what Mr Borrie had to say about our service:

From start to finish what an amazingly efficient service from WWW. From the initial consultation to completion a wonderful team, clean and tidy, all done with great enthusiasm and care. It was a big job and we now have a pond fitting to the surroundings, looks great with the fountain lit at night, very impressed.

Knebworth

Mr Field from Knebworth has been a client of Women with Waders since 2007 and over the years we have regularly maintained his pond, filters and stream.

In February, after our usual monthly visit we discussed the possibility of extending the pond, the Koi desperately needed more space having grown over the years. As the pond was raised on the front edge our only option was to make the pond deeper and a little wider to one side.

The stream was to be dismantled and rebuilt in a more natural style and a new filtration system installed to cope with the large Koi.

As you can see from the before and after pictures below the refurbished pond looks fantastic and Mr Field was thrilled with the result.

I’m proud to have supported a growing business from its early conception by allowing WWW to manage my pond. Having just completed a full refurbishment, I must say the professionalism, tidiness and end result makes me feel even more proud and lucky to have made that contact. I just keep smiling every time I look out of the window — thanks for a job very well done.
