Example

Mr Griffin from Great Missenden contacted us in the summer last year. His wife wanted a wildlife pond built and he had said he would pay for this as a Christmas present. A site survey was carried out and Mrs Griffin has some great ideas of how she wanted the pond to look. Our quote was accepted and the work was carried out in October. Here is the feedback we received from Mr Griffin:

“Dear Jo, I just wanted to put on record what a wonderful job John, Russell and Tom have done with the pond installation. Professional, hardworking, clean and tidy, timely are just some of the adjectives I would use for them and the final result is stunning. Chrissie is delighted with her early Christmas present and both of us want to thank you and your team. If you require a reference site or have a preferred web site for references I would be delighted to provide one for you. Many, many thanks again.”

Mr & Mrs Davies near Wheathampstead contacted us in the spring to arrange a visit to discuss the construction of a new wildlife pond. They had a very large garden and the pond needed to be a decent size to fit into an area they had ear marked which wad adjacent to the boundary fence, large shrubbery and a field. After the initial visit an estimate for the work was submitted and then a second visit was arranged with our construction team to carry a site survey. A frim quote was given and accepted and work began on the pond at the end of April. Our digger and two dumper trucks were used on the excavation so it was a relief when the weather stayed dry. The pond measuring 12m x 7m was lined then edged in flat York rockery stone to give a natural edge, an important feature for wildlife to get in and out of the pond. The pond was then planted with a suitable selection of aquatic plants to give a natural balance in time. This balance was established within three months due to our expert knowledge on aquatic planting. That the client was over the moon with the end result.

John Twigger contacted us fter seeing our advert in a local Parish Magazine; he wanted a quote to build a new pond.

An initial visit was made in November and an estimate given for a raised pond to be constructed from reclaimed bricks – Mr Twigger had a very clear vision of what the end result should look like.

This was followed up with a site survey by John Pateman where the style of the pond was discussed & how the brick work would be constructed. The client also requested the construction of a raised flower bed opposite to mirror the pond shape.

We eventually started work in late March this year & the team were on site for three weeks. As you can see from the pictures below our work has transformed the garden and Mr Twigger was delighted.

“The whole experience has been quite painless and the build was done very efficiently with no mess, no fuss & no problems from start to finish. What I have ended up with is better than I had imagined and I would recommend your services to anyone. A very professional and friendly service, thank you.”John Twigger.

Maxine and Michael from near Rickmansworth contacted us online. They had moved into a house with a pond which dominated the patio area.

We quoted to build a new pond to one side of the seating area and dismantle the old pond.

The house was in the middle of a terrace row and the only access to the garden was through the centre of the house.

Shortly after the job had been completed we received this letter:

“Dear Jo & all, Thank you so much for rebuilding our beautiful pond. It”s great to see my fish swimming about again and in such style. I was so impressed by the workmanship and care in the tidying up of the area worked on. I would be happy to recommend you to other customers. All the best, Maxine & Michael”

We were contacted in February by Mrs Hamilton near Hemel Hempstead after she heard our initial live broadcast on Woman”s Hour.

Some years ago she had a garden pond constructed but unfortunately the liner had been damaged, possibly by badgers. They decided to take the liner out and start again, but unfortunately work ground to a halt. After hearing us on Woman”s Hour she decided to call in the professionals.

The pond was re-shaped and edged all round with rockery stone so no pond liner was on view, thus allowing creatures to drink from the pond without damaging it.

Mrs Hamilton was delighted with the result.
