Lake Management
One area that has seen significant growth since the establishment of Women With Waders four years ago is the maintenance and clearance of large bodies of water. This year we have maintained some very large ponds, lakes and even moats.
Often these large bodies of water have been neglected and due to the planting of invasive aquatic plants such as bull rushes, they have then become very overgrown. It is vitally important that these expanses of water are maintained as they soon become an overgrown odorous bog.
In some cases dredging a pond is not a practical course of action but the addition of beneficial bacteria and lots of aeration can dramatically improve the water clarity over time.
Often literally tons of aquatic plants are removed from small areas. It is usually more practical to tip this on site but we can arrange for all debris to be taken off your site.
We have recently installed several floating fountains in large ponds - visually they are fantastic and enhance the ponds health by adding oxygen to the water.
Each job is different so a site survey must be undertaken.
